by restrangled ini was able to totally rework my kitchen about 5 years ago.
with limited funds we found premade cabinets very cheap.
we made them fit.

Lapel Cards
by Mincan inanyone else have the idea of making a high resolution scan of a lapel card so you can go to the assembly.
my mom got me one, (hehe) and i've scanned it in, now when i go i will have the one my mom gave me in front on my lapel holder on my jacket, with my real name on it so mom doesn't get suspicious.
then behind that one i will have my decoy one, with a fake name and other congregation name on it.

Hi Xena,
A little cell phone advice. DON'T USE 911 ON A CELL PHONE!!! (If you can help it.) Most places it takes forever to get through. Instead find out the local number for the police dispatch center. Then make sure it gets into your speed dial on a number you won't forget. I have the dispatch numbers for the city where I work and the city where I live on my cell's speed dial.
Also, if you're at work and need to run for the hills just dial 911 on the land line and leave the phone off the hook. Then the police will know an address to come looking for you.

Hey there Drew,
You might want to think about obtaining a micro-cassette recorder for your meeting. If they lie through their teeth about you not conceding anything, you'll be able to (very discreetly) let your inlaws hear the meeting. Just remember, that the recording is illegal if it ever shows up anywhere. I would only use the it for your own "personal" use.

Thanks for the detailed preview. I was able to work the education issue into a pre-convention discussion with my wife. I asked: "I wonder if the the education "pendulum" is going to continue swinging even farther against college this summer?" This was enough to get her going on a tirade of "why can't they see that college now is like high school 50 years ago?". Tee hee.

Just watching my daughter's High School video yearbook with her . . .
by Madame Quixote inand thinking how normal they all look and act - having all kinds of worldly fun, very unself-consciously.
my daughter is so happy with getting a copy of the video yearbook from her digital video prodcutions class at a discount .
it's cool to actually see her participating in all the wacky events she spent hours throughout the school year preparing for the night or week before: the school spirit week, tacky day, the prom; the many friends and social events.
